A word about braided head scarves: Using different combos of color in the braid can really bring an outfit together. I usually do either 2 or 3 solid head scarves in coordinating colors (like here), or 1 patterned and 1 solid that matches the pattern (like in this post's outfit). Another way is to add a sash and use its tails as part of the braid (like here). I think that doing more than one patterned scarf in a braid will take away from the shape. Triangular head scarves will make a smaller thinner braid, while long rectangular head scarves will make a thicker and longer one. You can play around with which tails to separate or combine for the braid- so that you end up with 3 lines to braid. You can also add embellishment to the braid by putting on a decorated elastic or a brooch or clips.
I have been craving light blue lately, but I don't have much of it in my closet. Here are some items that would really hit the spot! (gift season, anyone?)
