I am feeling a little flat and uncreative these days and I am in search of inspiration. That's why I am desperate to go to museums, which hopefully I will be able to do next week. Also, I have been rushing and doing so many things, and I haven't taken the time to just sit and think and write creatively to keep the ideas flowing. I really need to make time for that more often.
Anyways, I was browsing the internet for inspiration, and I found articles about a Russian makeup artist- Valeria Kutsan, who really uses makeup as art. She has collaborated with the photographer Alexander Khoklov to showcase her creations. They are full of optical illusions and new ways to use a face as art.
These are from the "2D or not 2D?" gallery. They are real people even though they look only two dimensional!

It really is fascinating to me how, even though there are thousands of years of art already done, there are way many more ideas waiting to be created. There is always something new and inspiring! This inspires me to believe that I can continue creating and contributing to the world.
Here are some random things that inspire me:
1. The Sky
The sky is so beautiful in its many permutations. It can be colorful or cloudy or just a perfect blue color. There is something so amazing about the hugeness of it, and how you can get lost looking up into it. I also really love the stars and the moon. Seeing the moon makes me feel really happy and comforting.
2. Married Couples (especially older ones)
I really feel pleasure seeing people love each other. I love seeing couples hold hands. Its the cutest when older couples hold hands. It is so inspiring for me to see that because it is evident that they have worked hard to stay married and love each other.
3. Unconventional Beauty
Its easy to be typically beautiful- either you are tall, skinny, and blonde, or not. But what is really inspiring is seeing people who are not conventionally beautiful be confident in themselves and feel beautiful inside and out. Instead of hiding their bodies or faces or talents, they flaunt their unique look and work with it. This is part of what I like about Glee- many of the actors are not the typical models of 90210 or Gossip Girl, but are still so striking looking.
