all dressed up in green

I have had this dress for a long time, but because of a)it being quite dressy and b)me not fitting into it, I haven’t really worn it. But now it fits, and with my new principle of dressing up more often and enjoying my closet, I decided to wear it for Friday night dinner. I adore this shade of green. And this silhouette is so wonderfully girly. I thought that it deserved a crown sort of look, so I gave my head scarf a little height with a braided headband. And even though I am really not into pearls, I find that as earrings they make eyes shine brighter.

I am wearing red lip gloss. 

Green and black is such a beautiful color contrast. I used red in my outfit too, because I love color, but maybe next time I will try it with just a great pair of statement earrings, like Angelina Jolie.
