change in the air

Outfit details-head scarf-lemon-headband-sherel's-tee-adea-dress (used as a top)-banana republic-skirt-gap-shoes-bamboo-belt-jcrew-ring-gifted. I wanted to do fun makeup because, even though I love grey, its not a popping color. Makeup is electric purple and fuschia shadow with silver liner on the inner corners and black mascara.

I also really like how the silver belt brings out the detailing on the top. I tried a black belt and it just wasn't the same.
This outfit would also look great with sneaker wedges like these ones.

I feel quite accomplished today...I put away like 5 loads of laundry, I am doing some research for school, and I exercised with a friend! It doesn't hurt that its so unautumn-like outside.
Starting this blog, just btw, has been really good for my mental health. Besides for being an artistic outlet, it really changed how I think about and approach things. I have been more confident lately. Instead of worrying about what others will think and feeling self-conscious or incompetent, I am saying to myself more, "just do it! why not? see what happens".
I feel like I am opening up myself to the world more. I have been known to be a bit anti-social, but I am trying to be more open to new ideas and people. Just today, as I was sitting at a park bench with my baby, an older lady struck up a conversation with me. Usually, I don't like talking to people I don't know, but today I was very friendly.
I feel really happy and fulfilled, getting busy with all sorts of projects, with lots of energy. I hope this keeps up!
